150th Celebration Toledo Region 2024

This year, the Fourth of July was extra special as we marked 150 years since the Sisters of Notre Dame arrived in the United States. The day began at the Sisters of Notre Dame Center in Whitehouse with a beautiful Mass of Thanksgiving with Monsignor Chris Vasko presiding. Mass was followed by a picnic lunch, activities and ice cream. Sisters enjoyed reminiscing with old photos and SND history trivia. Later in the day, the celebration continued at Rosary Care Center as we visited with sisters residing there.

Throughout the day, we honored our rich history and contributions with the readings of a Papal Decree and proclamations from the Governor of Ohio and the Mayor of Toledo.

Thank you to everyone who made this day possible. And thank you to all who have been a part of the Sisters of Notre Dame story here in Toledo and beyond over the last 150 years! Here’s to many more years of faith, community and service!

Special thank you to Sr. Marie Christine Cervi for these beautiful pictures!
