Our office would like to share a beautiful tribute of Sister Pamela Marie Buganski (deceased June 2020), a professed member of the Sisters of Notre Dame (Toledo) for 42 years.
Sr. Pam had a heart for justice and peace. It was this passionate urgency about living the Gospel and meeting the immediate needs of people that Representative Marcy Kaptur witnessed in Sr. Pam’s work in Matamoros, Mexico. Sr. Pam was a voice for those who were marginalized in any way, advocated for them in court or with law enforcement, attended vigils, spoke at social justice events, and participated in protests. She bonded easily with everyone but especially those who needed her “voice.”
