In northern Kentucky and southern Ohio, the sisters continue their commitment to thorough, Christ-centered education which prepares young people to be transformative leaders in the 21st century.

  • Julie Learning Center  a preschool program in Park Hills
  • Notre Dame Urban Education Center in Covington serves children through tutoring, cultural enrichment (art, music, dance, and theater), and supervised indoor physical education, building self-esteem and confidence. The monthly Family Program contributes to improved family function, offers support and hope, and enables families to better support their children’s academic success. Since 1950, health care has been a core ministry of our sisters in northern Kentucky and now includes outreach at:

The SND Eastern KY Foundation, Morehead, Kentucky, was established in 2024 to continue the ministry of the Sisters of Notre Dame in Eastern KY.

The purpose of the Foundation is to promote the fullness of life for the people of Eastern KY, especially those living on the margins.
The Foundation is primarily a grant-making organization.

St. Charles Community, Covington, offers a full range of senior care services, including independent and assisted living, adult day services, and outpatient rehabilitation. Click here for more information.

JPIC – Justice, Peace, and Integrity of Creation

DCCH Center for Children and FamiliesThe sisters continue their nearly 150-year commitment to making a home for at-risk children in Fort Mitchell, KY. Services at DCCH include residential treatment, foster care, adoption, therapy, and counseling services to meet all mental health needs for children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families in Northern Kentucky, helping each person to thrive socially, mentally, and physically, and make positive, permanent life changes. Rose Garden Mission offers a full Pregnancy Care Center, helping Moms make good choices in their pregnancies and assisting them with material needs for themselves and their babies; a no-questions-asked Food Pantry where families may receive food every day the Mission’s open; a free primary care clinic called the Rose Garden Center for Hope & Healing; and a free Dental Clinic.  Click here to learn more.

The Society of St. Vincent de Paul helps those in need by providing life’s necessities, such as food, coats, fans, beds, medical equipment, and clothing.

Spiritual Development

Spiritual Directors – Certified, experienced spiritual directors are available to accompany individuals or groups on their prayer journey. For more information, call (859) 291-2040.

Prayer Line Ministry – The power of prayer is available to everyone, and the sisters consider Prayer Line ministry one of the most critical and needed ministries in the world today. Whether prayer requests are happy, sad, terrifying, or exciting, the Sisters of Notre Dame are always available to join you in prayer.
