August News from California

August 30, marks the day when 11 SND pioneers disembarked from the train that brought them to California 100 years ago. With great faith, they stepped into many unknowns, but they were ready to follow the commission: “Go to California and build a house of love.” It was their trust, our trust in God’s goodness and provident care that brings us to this moment in our history.
We will celebrate this milestone with a Mass of Thanksgiving on Saturday, August 31 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Paschal Baylon Church in Thousand Oaks. Follow this link for a livestream of the Mass, with Archbishop José Gomez as the main celebrant. We also offer our gratitude to Fr. Michael Rocha and the staff of St. Paschal Baylon Parish for their hospitality for this event!
Once again, we wholeheartedly thank you for being part of our great story. We are humbled to call you friends and we promise our daily prayer for you and everyone you carry in your hearts—all the days of our lives.
