Sister Zoom Calls – 4th of July Festival 2021

Published by SND KY on

Join us for one, two, or all three Sister Zoom Calls this June.

We hope you can connect with us. Let us know if there are other topics you would like to see covered in the future!

The calls are webinar-style, so you can see and hear the presenters, but they can’t see or hear you. Each Zoom will include time for Q&A at the end.

Vocation & Young Adult Outreach

Date: June 10, 2021

1:00 p.m. ET / 10:00 a.m. PT

Host Presenter: Sr. Ruth Lubbers, SND

“Young Adult Ministry and Vocation Outreach” is a mission priority for SND USA. What does that mean?

It means the Sisters of Notre Dame are available for young adults, both men and women, who are planning their next steps in life. We are ready to walk with them and determine where their passions, talent, and heart are leading them. This journey can look at careers, relationships, religious life, family life, school…anything, really!

Tune in for a casual look at how young adults are connecting with the SNDs and what discernment in the digital age looks like.

You don’t have to be a young adult or a discerner yourself to participate!

Ministries on the Margins

Date: June 16, 2021

1:00 p.m. ET / 10:00 a.m. PT

Host Presenters: Sr. Rita Geoppinger and Sr. Maria Francine Stacy, SND

Ministries on the Margins — what are the margins??

In the economic, political and social sense of the word, those on the “margins” are those relegated to an unimportant or insignificant place, a powerless place in society. They are often viewed as peripheral, outside of the mainstream and without influence.

Tune in to learn about SND outreach at society’s margins, why this is important, and how you can get involved.

Relax & Reflect with the Daily Examen

Date: June 23, 2021

1:00 p.m. ET / 10:00 a.m. PT

Host Presenter: Sr. Evelynn Reinke, SND

Relax and reflect with the Daily Examen.

The Daily Examen is a method of reviewing your day in the presence of God. It’s actually an attitude more than a method, a time set aside for thankful reflection on where God is in your everyday life. It’s often explained as having five steps and it usually takes about 15 minutes.

Tune in to learn more about the Examen and for a guided example.
